চট্টগ্রাম জেলার অন্তগত রাঙ্গুনীয়া উপজেলার বেতাগী ইউনিয়নের তিনচৌদিয়া গ্রামে ১৯৯৬ সালে আলহাজ্ব আবুল বশর চৌধুরী উচ্চ বিদ্যালয় প্রতিষ্ঠিত হয়। বিদ্যালয়টি ২০০৩-২০০৪ অথ বছরে নিম্ন মাধ্যমিক স্তর এমপিও ভুক্তি লাভ করে এবং বর্তমানে মাধ্যমিক স্তর এমপিও ভুক্তির লক্ষ্যে শিক্ষা মন্ত্রণালয়ে আবেদিত। বর্তমানে বিদ্যালয়টি মাধ্যমিক ও উচ্চ মাধ্যমিক শিক্ষা বোড, চট্টগ্রাম কর্তৃক একাডেমিক স্বীকৃতি প্রাপ্ত। বিদ্যালয়ে বতর্মানে ১১ জন শিক্ষক এবং ৩ জন কর্মচারী কমরত আছেন তৎমধ্যে ৬ জন শিক্ষক ও ২ জন কমচারী এমপিওভুক্ত। অন্যান্য শিক্ষক/কমচারীগণ এমপিও ভুক্তির অপেক্ষায় রয়েছেন। বিদ্যালয় প্রতিষ্ঠা লগ্ন থেকে জুনিয়র বৃত্তি; এসএসসি বৃত্তি, জেএসসি ও এসএসসি তে A+ অজনসহ ২০১৫ সনে ৪৪ জন পরীক্ষার্থী এসএসসি পরীক্ষায় অংশগ্রহণ করে এবং কৃতিত্বের সাথে ৪৪ জন কৃতকায হওয়ার গৌরব অজন করে ফলে শত ভাগ পাশের হার অর্জিত হয়। রাঙ্গুনীয়া উপজেলায় মাধ্যমিক শিক্ষা প্রতিষ্ঠান হিসাবে ২০১৫ সালের এসএসসি ফলাফর বিবেচনায় বিদ্যালয়টি প্রথম স্থান অধিকার করে। শিক্ষার গুণগত মান ও ফলাফলের ধারাবাহিকতা রক্ষার্থে শিক্ষকবৃন্দ অঙ্গীকারবদ্ধ।
